New CEO Election

Rio de Janeiro, October 03, 2012 – In keeping with Section 157, 4th § of Law no. 6,404 of 12/15/1976, and with CVM Instruction no. 358/02, CONTAX PARTICIPAÇÕES S.A. (“Contax or Company”) announces to its shareholders and the market a change to its Executive Board.

In compliance with the Board of Directors Meeting of October 3, 2012, Mr. Carlos Henrique Zanvettor was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Contax, replacing Mr. Marco Norci Schroeder, the acting CEO who maintained the position of Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations Officer, which he now holds exclusively. Mr. Zanvettor will start at Contax on 10/08/2012.

Mr. Carlos Zanvettor is 46 years old and worked at Itaú Unibanco from 1998 to 2011, becoming a Director in 2003. In 2011-2012, he was a director of Redecard. Previously, he worked for 10 years at Andersen Consulting/Accenture, including a two-year stint in Chicago. He worked in consulting projects for leading companies in retail banking (financial products and insurance) and in the consumer goods industry. He has a degree in electrical engineering from Escola de Engenharia Mauá (1988) and concluded the Executive Development Program at Kellog Graduate School of Management – Northwestern University in 1995 and a Senior Management Program in Banking at the Swiss Finance Institute in 2011.
